Kafka Change Data Capture – an event driven way to handle database changes

Data movement between different types of databases, whether relational or not, can be achieved in near real time with Change Data Capture (CDC). In this session, we will describe CDC with Kafka, its benefits and drawbacks, and discuss why it is so essential. We will also have a live coding session where we will demonstrate how to develop a simple Java application to retrieve data from Kafka CDC and transmit it to the frontend using web sockets.
